What happens

What to expect

01

Book a long appointment

The first WorkCover consultation involves assessment and paperwork. It needs more than a standard slot.

02

Bring the details

Your employer’s name, the date and description of the injury and your claim number if you have one. For a road accident, bring your TAC claim number.

03

Assessment and certificate

Your GP assesses the injury and completes a Certificate of Capacity setting out what you can and cannot do.

04

Review

Certificates cover a set period. We will book your review before that period runs out.
