General Practice Consultations at Flourish
A standard appointment with one of our GPs is where most care starts. Whether you are unwell, need a prescription, want results explained or have something you have been putting off, this is the appointment to book.
- Assessment of new symptoms, illness and injury
- Repeat prescriptions and medication reviews
- Test results and what they mean
- Referrals to specialists, imaging and pathology
- Medical certificates
- Care plans and referrals to allied health
- Vaccinations, including seasonal influenza

Who it is for and what it costs
Who it is for
Anyone with a Medicare card. You do not need to have been to Flourish before and you are welcome to book with the same GP each time if you would prefer continuity.
What it costs
Bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card, so there is nothing to pay on the day.
How to book
Book online through HotDoc or call reception on 03 5174 6711. Ask for a longer appointment if you need one.

What to expect

Book a time
Book online or call reception. If you are not sure how long you need, ask — a longer appointment is better than a rushed one.

Arrive and check in
Bring your Medicare card. If you are new, bring a list of your current medications and any past history you can.

Your consultation
Your GP will talk through what has brought you in, examine you if needed and agree a plan with you.

Afterwards
Any referrals or scripts are arranged before you leave. We will let you know how and when results come back.

A standard consultation is a short appointment. If you have several things to discuss, a complex problem or need a form completed, please ask for a longer appointment when you book.
Yes. You can choose your GP when you book online and we encourage it — seeing the same doctor makes ongoing care easier.
